ParticipantThanks for that Richard.
I’ll only be using 4 digits – 2 for the pair and two for the timeframe (as long as I stick with H1 and below of course).
Best Regards
Eddie

ParticipantThe highest magic number that you can have is 2147483647. So best just to stick to 9 digits to give you all the combinations you would want

ParticipantHello Ilan
Thanks for the fast and comprehensive answer.
Great to know there is no reasonable limit on the digits I can use.
Best Regards
Eddie

ModeratorHey Eddie,
Yes, it can. When you place the Portfolio EA onto your chart, select the input tab, double-click on the base number in the list and change it to any number you’d like, and hit the Save button. You can also do it when the Portfolio EA is already on the chart, by clicking on the smiley face in the top right hand corner, which will bring up the same EA Properties window. Just keep in mind that if you do the latter, and the EAs have already opened and closed trades, when you analyse their performance in something like FXBlue, you’ll have the old numbers as well as the new.
Cheers,
Ilan

ParticipantHello
The Portfolio EAs are compiled with a 3 digit Base Magic Number.
Can this number be 4 or 5 digits instead of the current 3?
Thanks!
Best RegardsEddie
